On October 17, Goa Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant attended the NDA Chief Ministers’ Council Meeting in Chandigarh, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The meeting focused on enhancing good governance and improving public service delivery. Dr. Sawant emphasized Goa’s role in achieving the vision of a developed India by 2047, highlighting the state’s strengths in tourism, culture, industry, and innovation.

Dr. Sawant expressed Goa’s commitment to contributing to India’s growth and working towards an Atmanirbhar Bharat, which promotes self-reliance and sustainability. He shared his thoughts on social media, reiterating the state’s dedication to national progress.

Prime Minister Modi, in his social media post, shared insights from the meeting, which included discussions on national development and the observance of ‘Sanvidhan Ka Amrut Mahotsav.’ The meeting was attended by key figures such as BJP President JP Nadda, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, and Home Minister Amit Shah, along with Chief Ministers from various NDA-governed states.

The agenda also covered the upcoming 50th anniversary of the “attempt to murder democracy,” with a total of 13 Chief Ministers and 16 Deputy Chief Ministers participating in the discussions.
