Australian cricketer Glenn Maxwell has shared his thoughts on not being retained by the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) for the 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL). Maxwell received the news from RCB’s Director of Cricket, Mo Bobat, and head coach Andy Flower during a Zoom call. Despite the decision, Maxwell described the meeting as “beautiful” and positive, as they discussed the team’s future plans.

He achieved 12 half-centuries, with his highest score being 78. The Bengaluru-based team has decided to retain players like Virat Kohli, Rajat Patidar, and Yash Dayal for the upcoming IPL 2025 mega auction.

Alongside Maxwell, RCB has also released other notable players, including Indian pacer Mohammed Siraj, former captain Faf du Plessis, and England’s Will Jacks.
