Key Achievements

The dialogue highlighted significant achievements in semiconductor supply chains, innovation ecosystems, and clean energy. The leaders praised the ongoing collaboration under the Semiconductor Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), which aims to create secure semiconductor supply chains. Since the MOU’s signing, assessments have identified opportunities for developing complementary semiconductor ecosystems.

Innovation and Clean Energy

The Innovation Handshake MOU has brought startups from both nations closer through roundtables in San Francisco and New Delhi. The U.S.-India Energy Industry Network (EIN) has also advanced clean energy markets, contributing to the U.S.-India Strategic Clean Energy Partnership (SCEP).

New Developments

A new MOU was signed to diversify and expand critical minerals supply chains, focusing on resilience. This agreement will enhance collaboration in exploring, extracting, refining, and recycling critical minerals.

Support for SMEs and Future Plans

Initiatives to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and women-owned businesses were discussed. A U.S. trade mission focused on SMEs is planned for March 2025 in Bangalore. The leaders also noted progress in travel, tourism, and healthcare cooperation.
