New Delhi, India – Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Ghanshyam Tiwari shared his thoughts on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent visit to Moscow. Tiwari emphasized that India should play a positive and peaceful role in the Russia-Ukraine war. He stated, ‘The parties’ stand on India’s foreign policy, India’s dominance in the world and the country’s relations are united and in favour of the country. In the current situation, India’s role must be positive and peaceful in the war between Russia and Ukraine. This is what the world expects from India.’

PM Modi’s Visit to Moscow

Prime Minister Narendra Modi met Russian President Vladimir Putin at the President’s House in Moscow. The two leaders shared a warm greeting and proceeded to their meeting. PM Modi arrived in Moscow for a two-day official visit to attend the 22nd India-Russia Annual Summit. He was received by Russia’s First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov at the Vnukovo-II airport and was given a ceremonial welcome. PM Modi expressed his desire to deepen the ‘special and privileged strategic partnership’ between India and Russia. He also interacted with the Indian diaspora, who welcomed him with Indian flags and posters.

Manipur Situation

Ghanshyam Tiwari also commented on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s visit to relief camps in Manipur. He criticized the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for not addressing the situation in Manipur, where 60,000 people are displaced, over 200 are dead, and many villages have been destroyed. Tiwari said, ‘We all are sad that the voice of Manipur has not reached PM Modi’s ears. Prime Minister Modi can hold election rallies in six different states in a day but cannot go to Manipur.’ He highlighted the efforts of the INDIA bloc in ensuring that the voices of the people are heard. PM Modi, in his address in the Rajya Sabha, stated that the central government is working to normalize the situation in Manipur and is engaging with all stakeholders to restore peace.
