Indian badminton stars are gearing up for the US Open 2024 in Texas. Gayatri Gopichand and Treesa Jolly, ranked 24th in the world, are seeded second in the women’s doubles. They aim to win their first BWF title since the Odisha Open. The duo recently reached the semi-finals of the Singapore Open, defeating top players.
Priyanshu Rajawat, part of the 2022 Thomas Cup-winning team, is seeded eighth in the men’s singles and will face Jan Louda of Czechia. Malvika Bansod and Tanya Hemanth will lead the women’s singles in the absence of PV Sindhu. Malvika is ranked 49th, while Tanya is 73rd.
