BCCI secretary Jay Shah honored the sacrifices of freedom fighters and reflected on the values that bind the nation. He wrote, ‘May we continue to uphold the ideals of justice, liberty, and equality for all. Jai Hind.’

Former cricketer Yuvraj Singh expressed his pride in the tricolor, wishing everyone a Happy Independence Day. Irfan Pathan also shared his hopes for the nation, writing, ‘May we keep flying our Tricolor high wherever we go.’

Prime Minister Narendra Modi hoisted the national flag at the Red Fort for the 11th consecutive time, marking a significant milestone. The theme for this year’s celebration is ‘Viksit Bharat @ 2047,’ aiming to transform India into a developed nation by 2047.
