India’s head coach, Gautam Gambhir, shared his thoughts on the selection of Harshit Rana for the upcoming Border-Gavaskar Trophy against Australia. Gambhir emphasized the importance of Rana being fresh for the five-Test series, stating, “He’s had enough bowling. Important for a fast bowler to be fresh.”

India’s Squad and Series Details

Harshit Rana and Nitish Reddy are among the uncapped players in India’s squad, selected after strong performances in domestic cricket. India faces a challenging path to the World Test Championship (WTC) final, needing a 4-0 series win against Australia to secure their spot.

The series will begin in Perth, followed by a day-night Test in Adelaide from December 6 to 10. The third Test will be at The Gabba in Brisbane from December 14 to 18. The Boxing Day Test will take place at Melbourne Cricket Ground from December 26 to 30, with the final Test at Sydney Cricket Ground from January 3 to 7.
