Gautam Gambhir Becomes India’s Head Coach

Gautam Gambhir has been appointed as the new head coach of the Indian men’s cricket team. This announcement was made by Jay Shah, the secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), who expressed his full confidence in Gambhir’s ability to lead Indian cricket forward.

Zaheer Khan and Lakshmipathy Balaji Considered for Bowling Coach

Following Gambhir’s appointment, former seamers Zaheer Khan and Lakshmipathy Balaji are being considered for the position of the national team’s bowling coach. Zaheer Khan has an impressive record with 311 Test wickets in 92 matches and a total of 610 wickets in 309 international matches. Lakshmipathy Balaji has taken 27 wickets in 8 Test matches and 34 wickets in 30 ODIs.

End of Rahul Dravid’s Tenure

Rahul Dravid’s tenure as the head coach of Team India ended after the conclusion of the final match of the T20 World Cup 2024, where India beat South Africa by seven runs to win the prestigious trophy after 17 years.
