Gautam Adani, the Chairman and Founder of the Adani Group, has been recognized as the highest wealth gainer in the Forbes India Rich List 2024. His net worth soared to USD 116 billion, marking an increase of USD 48 billion from the previous year. This growth surpasses the combined gains of Mukesh Ambani, Chairman and Managing Director of Reliance Industries Limited, and Savitri Jindal, Chairperson Emeritus of OP Jindal Group.

Mukesh Ambani, the second biggest gainer, added USD 27.5 billion to his wealth, bringing his total to USD 119.5 billion. Despite maintaining the top spot, his lead over Adani has narrowed to USD 3.5 billion. Savitri Jindal, India’s richest woman and an MLA from Hisar, gained USD 19.7 billion, surpassing Shiv Nadar to become the third richest Indian.

Sunil Mittal and Dilip Shanghvi also made significant gains, with increases of USD 13.9 billion and USD 13.4 billion, respectively, making them the fourth and fifth biggest wealth gainers in 2024 according to Forbes.
