Gautam Adani Donates Rs 100 Crore for Telangana’s Young India Skills University

Adani Group’s Generous Contribution to Telangana’s Young India Skills University

On October 18, Adani Group, through its CSR arm Adani Foundation, donated Rs 100 crore to Telangana for the establishment of the Young India Skills University. This was announced by the Telangana Chief Minister’s Office on social media. The donation was handed over by a delegation led by Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani to Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy.

Support for Skill Development

Gautam Adani assured continued support for the state’s skill development initiatives aimed at empowering youth. The university will offer courses in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, and artificial intelligence, starting this year after the Dasara festival. Initially, classes will be held at the Engineering Staff College of India (ESCI).

Industry Collaboration

Several companies, including Apollo, AIG, Lenskart, Flipkart, Amazon, All Cargo, Pro Connect, and O9 Solutions, will offer courses and conduct classes. The university plans to train 2000 youth in its first year. Industrialist Anand Mahindra chairs the university board.

Government and Industry Partnership

In September, CM Reddy called on industrialists to partner in creating a Corpus Fund for the university’s management. The government has allocated 150 acres of land and Rs 100 crore for the university’s development. The Adani Foundation has been committed to social investments in India since 1996.
