Gaurav Bhatia Criticizes Congress Over Haryana Election Results

In New Delhi, BJP national spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia criticized Congress leaders for their reaction to the Haryana assembly election results. Congress described the results as “totally unexpected” and “against ground-reality.” Bhatia praised the Election Commission of India, stating it made every citizen proud. He accused Congress of double standards, noting they praise EVMs when they win but criticize them when they lose.

Bhatia urged opposition leaders, including Rahul Gandhi, to act responsibly and accept the election results. He claimed that Congress’s reaction to the results was hypocritical, as they celebrated victories in Jammu and Kashmir but rejected Haryana’s outcome. Bhatia advised Rahul Gandhi to accept defeat and not demean constitutional bodies like the Election Commission.

The BJP is set to form its third consecutive government in Haryana, winning 48 out of 90 seats, while Congress secured 37 seats. In Jammu and Kashmir, the National Conference-Congress alliance won a majority with 49 seats.
