Gas Pipeline Explosion in Balochistan Disrupts Supply to Quetta

A 24-inch Sui gas pipeline in Mach town, Kachhi District, Balochistan, was blown up, causing a disruption in gas supply to various areas, including Quetta. The Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) announced that repair work on the damaged pipeline will commence on Monday morning.

Earlier in February, a similar incident occurred when a gas pipeline passing through the Bolan River was blown up. A portion of the six-inch pipeline caught fire after the powerful explosion. Engineers from SSGC stopped the supply and dispatched a repair and maintenance team to the affected site. SSGC spokesman Safdar Hussain stated that they immediately started repair work and aimed to resume supply by the next evening.
