During a high-level camp organized by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Monday, white-ball head coach Gary Kirsten pledged to bring pride back into Pakistan cricket. The camp aimed to establish a clear and unified vision for the future of Pakistan cricket.

Gary Kirsten’s Vision

Speaking at the press conference, Kirsten said that in the Connection Camp they went through various things that will help Pakistan cricket in the future. He emphasized the importance of professionalism and the commitment to present themselves as best they can for the nation.

“I think we all agree we want the Pakistan team to be as successful as it possibly can be across all the formats. And we spend today just going through the various things that can help us and help the team be the best version of itself,” Kirsten said.

He added that Pakistan has a very talented squad across all three formats in cricket and stressed the need for a robust system and competition for places to ensure the team’s success.

Recent Struggles

Pakistan’s recent Test series defeat against Bangladesh and their exit in the T20 World Cup after losing to the USA and India highlight the need for this renewed focus. In the upcoming days, Pakistan will take on England in a three-match Test series on their home soil, starting on October 7.
