Future Food Forum 2024 in Dubai: Shaping the Future of Food with Innovation and Sustainability

The UAE Food & Beverage Business Group, under the patronage of the UAE Ministry of Economy and in partnership with the Dubai Chamber, has announced the Future Food Forum 2024. This event will take place on October 2-3 in Dubai.

As the UAE strengthens its role in food innovation and sustainability, the two-day event will gather industry stakeholders, government representatives, and academia to discuss new technologies, sustainable practices, and collaborative strategies for the future of food production.

Now in its sixth year, the Forum will feature FoodTech Valley as an organizing partner, with support from the Abu Dhabi Food Hub and DP World. The GCC food and beverage sector is expected to grow to a market value of USD128.2 billion by 2029. The Forum’s theme, ‘Future Consumer, Future Government, and Future Food,’ focuses on advancing the UAE’s cluster strategy, which aims to increase the food sector’s GDP contribution by USD10 billion and create 20,000 jobs.

The Forum serves as a platform for policy change, bridging government, policymakers, and industry leaders. It will address topics like Extended Producer Responsibility, the circular economy, sustainability, international trade agreements, digital transformation, and the importance of ‘free from’ products and nutrition.

This year, the Forum will introduce ‘Foodverse,’ a metaverse-based virtual platform for the food sector, revolutionizing B2B meetings, product presentations, and networking opportunities.

Saleh Lootah, Chairman of F&B Group, stated, ‘Future Food Forum continues to serve as a platform for collaboration in the future of the food industry. This year’s edition is even bigger and hosts key stakeholders from the public and private sectors to build on the seven key pillars announced by the UAE government.’

The event will also feature the ‘Free From Food Dubai’ exhibition, showcasing innovations in organic, vegan, functional, and healthy ingredient food industries.
