Fujairah Children’s Book Fair: A Celebration of Imagination and Learning
The first-ever Fujairah Children’s Book Fair concluded on October 19th, under the patronage of Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah. Organized by the Higher Committee of Fujairah Children’s Book Fair and Fujairah Culture and Media Authority, the event took place at Al Bayt Mitwahid Hall in Fujairah.
Running from October 13th, the fair featured over 87 activities, including ten panel discussions, 43 literary events, and 34 workshops. It hosted 40 publishers from the UAE and beyond, showcasing a wide range of educational, cultural, and artistic books.
Themed ‘Create the Future with Imagination,’ the fair was divided into four zones: Imagination, Adventure, Creativity, and Future. These zones encouraged creative thinking and learning among children. Over 10,000 visitors, including students and families, attended the event, highlighting a strong interest in children’s literature.
The fair included interactive workshops and panel discussions in Arabic and English, focusing on art, philosophy, story creation, and more. It also launched the Upcoming Author competition, celebrating young writers.
Nasser Al Yamahi, Executive Director of the Fujairah Culture and Media Authority, praised the fair’s success and thanked the Crown Prince for his support. He emphasized the fair’s role in promoting reading and supporting young talents in Fujairah.
