Free Entry for Fans at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium for Pakistan vs Bangladesh Test Match
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced that fans can enter the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium for free for the remaining days of the first Test match between Pakistan and Bangladesh. This decision was made to encourage families and students to attend the match over the weekend.
According to the PCB, spectators must bring their original CNIC or B-form to enter the stadium. They can watch the match from VIP enclosures (Imran Khan and Javed Miandad) for families only, and premium enclosures (Miran Baksh, Shoaib Akhtar, Sohail Tanvir, and Yasir Arafat). The free entry policy does not apply to tickets purchased for the PCB Gallery or Platinum Box.
The ongoing two-match Test series is part of the ICC World Test Championship 2023-25. In the match, Bangladesh won the toss and chose to bowl first. Pakistan initially struggled at 16/3, losing their top order, including skipper Babar Azam for a duck. However, Saim Ayub (56) and Mohammed Rizwan (171*) helped Pakistan recover, leading to a total score of 448/6. Shaheen Shah Afridi also contributed with a quick 29*. Hasan Mahmud and Shoriful Islam were the top bowlers for Bangladesh. By the end of day three, Bangladesh was at 316/5, with Mushfiqur Rahim and Litton Das still at the crease.
