Four Family Members Die in Mangaluru Wall Collapse Amid Heavy Rains

In Mangaluru, Karnataka, a tragic incident occurred when a retaining wall collapsed on a house in the Madani Nagara area, leading to the deaths of four family members. The incident took place on Wednesday morning within the Ullal police station limits.

Mullai Muhilan, the Deputy Commissioner of Dakshina Kannada, confirmed the fatalities, stating, “Four people died when the retaining wall collapsed on the house at Madani Nagara, outskirts of Mangaluru.”

Following the collapse, locals quickly arrived at the scene to help rescue those buried under the debris. The region has been experiencing heavy rain since Tuesday night, and the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert in the district until June 27.

Earlier, on June 14, a similar incident occurred in Vijay Nagar in the Antop Hill area of Mumbai, where two people lost their lives after a portion of their house collapsed, according to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).
