Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Celebrations
Prime Minister Narendra Modi hoisted the tricolour and addressed the nation from the historic Red Fort in Delhi. He paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi at Rajghat before inspecting the Guard of Honour at Red Fort.
PM Modi praised women’s achievements in various sectors, highlighting their excellence and contributions to the nation’s progress. He emphasized the theme ‘Viksit Bharat @ 2047,’ aiming to transform India into a developed nation by 2047.
Special Highlights
The Delhi sky was overcast with a slight drizzle. After hoisting the Tricolour, PM Modi received a ‘Rashtriya Salute’ from the Punjab Regiment Military band, conducted by Subedar Major Rajinder Singh. The Indian Navy coordinated the event, and around 6,000 special guests were invited to witness the celebrations.
Flower petals were showered at the venue by two Advanced Light Helicopters Dhruv of the Indian Air Force, piloted by Wing Commander Amber Agarwal and Wing Commander Rahul Nainwal.
