Former Maharashtra Minister Baba Siddique’s State Funeral After Tragic Shooting
In Mumbai, Maharashtra, the mortal remains of Baba Siddique, a former minister and NCP leader, were taken from his Bandra residence for a state funeral procession. The last rites will be conducted with full state honors at Bada Qabrastan in Mumbai.
Baba Siddique sustained two gunshot wounds to his chest and was rushed to Lilavati Hospital on Saturday night. Despite efforts to save him, he succumbed to his injuries. Dr. Jalil Parkar from Lilavati Hospital stated that Siddique was brought in around 9:30 pm, but his vital signs were unrecordable, and the ECG showed a flat line.
Following the incident, Mumbai police arrested two suspects, Gurmail Singh from Haryana and Dharamraj Kashyap from Uttar Pradesh. Both were presented in Mumbai’s Esplanade Court, where Gurmail Singh was remanded to Mumbai Crime Branch custody until October 21. The court also ordered an ossification test for Dharamraj Kashyap.
