Former Karnataka Chief Minister SM Krishna, aged 91, has been discharged from Manipal Hospital in Bengaluru after recovering from respiratory issues. He was under the care of Dr. Satyanarayana and Dr. Sunil Karanth.

Krishna, who served as Karnataka CM from October 11, 1999, to May 28, 2004, and as External Affairs Minister from 2009 to 2012, joined the BJP in March 2017 after a nearly 50-year-long association with Congress. He retired from active politics last year.
