Forest Officials Rescue Elephant from Ditch in Gossaigaon, Assam
On Saturday, forest officials from the Safnan range rescued a female elephant trapped in a ditch at Mainaopur in Gossaigaon, Assam. The elephant had wandered out of Raimona National Park and into a nearby village, where it fell into the ditch.
Local villagers informed the forest officials about the elephant’s situation. The rescue team used a JCB to dig around the ditch and safely free the elephant. After the successful rescue, the elephant was transported back to Raimona National Park without any injuries.
The Divisional Forest Officer of Kachugaon Division and the in-charge of Sanfan Range expressed their gratitude to the rescue team for their excellent work.
