30 Students Hospitalized After Eating Sandwiches
In Pune, Maharashtra, around thirty students from a local school were hospitalized on Thursday due to suspected food poisoning. The students, who were in classes 5 to 7, fell ill after consuming sandwiches served for breakfast. Deputy Commissioner of Police Shivaji Pawar confirmed that the students began vomiting and feeling unwell, but all are now stable and out of danger. Most were discharged by the evening.

Dr. Dhananjay Patil from Chetna Hospital in Pimpri-Chinchwad reported that initially, 18 students were admitted by 1 PM, experiencing symptoms like dizziness, stomach pain, and vomiting. By 3 PM, the number had risen to 30, all of whom were treated and discharged.
Possible Cause
Dr. Patil suggested that the sandwiches served at breakfast might be the cause of the suspected food poisoning.

Earlier, on October 1, a similar incident occurred at Kalwa Sahyadri School in Thane, Maharashtra, where 38 students were hospitalized after eating Khichdi, leading to food poisoning.
