Flag Garden 2024: A Tribute to UAE’s Founding Fathers
Brand Dubai, part of the Government of Dubai Media Office, has unveiled the 11th edition of the Flag Garden at Jumeirah Beach, Umm Suqeim 2. This year’s display, under the #ZayedAndRashid campaign, honors the UAE’s Founding Fathers, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum, with 11,600 flags forming aerial portraits of these leaders.
Celebrating National Icons
Shaima Al Suwaidi, Director of Brand Dubai, emphasized the Garden’s role in celebrating the historical contributions of these leaders to the UAE’s development. The design reflects the loyalty and pride of the Emirati people towards their leadership.
A Landmark Event
Mahra Alyouha, Project Manager, noted that the Flag Garden has become a significant event, attracting thousands of visitors. It coincides with UAE Flag Day on November 3 and Eid Al Etihad on December 2, remaining open until January 10, 2025.
Past and Present Celebrations
Last year’s garden honored Dubai’s leadership, featuring portraits of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and other key figures. The #ZayedAndRashid campaign, led by Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, aims to celebrate national occasions and the vibrant festivities in the UAE.
