Five Illegal Immigrants Arrested at Agartala Railway Station
In Agartala, Tripura, five individuals were detained at the railway station during a joint operation on Monday. The operation was carried out by the Government Railway Police (GRP), Railway Protection Force (RPF), Border Security Force (BSF), and intelligence agencies. The detainees include two Bangladeshi nationals and three Myanmar nationals who entered India illegally from Bangladesh. They were attempting to travel to other Indian states, with conflicting statements about their destinations, mentioning Hyderabad and Mumbai.
The individuals are currently being interrogated at the Agartala GRP police station. Authorities have registered a case and plan to present the individuals in court. The detained are identified as Rohim Ullah, Md Ayub, Hussanara Begum and her son Md Anish, Md Chan Miah, and Sabbir Hossain. Further investigations are ongoing, and more arrests may follow.
