Fire Destroys Library in Pune’s Navi Peth Area
On Thursday morning, a fire erupted in a library located in the Navi Peth area of Pune, Maharashtra. The Pune City Fire Department reported that the fire was extinguished with the help of four fire brigades and two water tankers. Fortunately, no casualties or injuries were reported, but the entire library, including furniture, computers, and books, was destroyed. The cause of the fire remains unknown, although pest control was conducted the previous night, according to Fire Officer Rajesh Jagtap.
In a related incident on October 16, a fire in the Riya Palace building in Mumbai’s Andheri area resulted in the deaths of three individuals. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) stated that fire brigade officials promptly responded to the scene. The Chief Medical Officer of Cooper Hospital identified the deceased as Chandraprakash Soni, Kanta Soni, and Pelubeta.
