A fire erupted in a slum in Kanchan Kunj, located in the Madanpur Khadar area of Delhi, last night. Thick smoke was seen coming from the slum, and 11 fire tenders were sent to the site. Fortunately, no injuries were reported. Firefighters managed to extinguish the fire, and cooling operations are currently underway. An investigation is ongoing.

In a similar incident on September 8, a fire broke out in a cloth factory in the Bakkarwala area of Outer Delhi. Deputy Chief Fire Officer M K Chattopadhyay stated that the fire spread due to an explosion in an LPG cylinder. The fire was brought under control with the help of 24 fire tenders. Runu Mishra, the owner of RP Traders, reported that property worth crores was damaged. She mentioned that the fire started at 6 am and intensified after the LPG cylinders exploded. Thick smoke and intense flames were seen from the first floor of the double-story building. Firefighters are still working to completely douse the fire.
