Fire at Tesla Service Showroom in Kathmandu, Nepal
A fire broke out at the Tesla service showroom in Kathmandu, Nepal, causing damage to properties and documents. The incident occurred at ARETE International, Nepal’s first Tesla service showroom, located in Tangal, Kathmandu.
Details of the Incident
The fire started on the ground floor of the Tesla Service Centre in Naxal and spread to the first floor. Parts of Tesla electric vehicles and documents were scattered on the ground, with glass pieces strewn across the floor. The building also hosted three charging ports for Tesla vehicles.
Response and Investigation
DSP Indra Subedi of Maligaun Police Circle confirmed that the fire has been extinguished. The cause of the fire is suspected to be a short-circuit in the electrical wiring. Fortunately, no vehicles were harmed, and two Tesla cars in the showroom were quickly moved to a secure location. The investigation and assessment of the damage are currently underway.
