Early Monday morning, a fire broke out at Kerala Restaurant in Delhi’s INA market, injuring six people. The fire also spread to two nearby Chinese fast-food shops.

Details of the Incident

The fire started at 3:18 am at Kerala Restaurant, located in shop number 211 near INA Metro Station’s gate 2. Seven firefighting vehicles were sent to control the blaze, which has now been extinguished.

Injured Individuals

The injured have been identified as Sunil (46), Ashki Nepali (26), Arun (18), Shiva (26), Shiv Kumar (24), and Girish (42). They have been admitted to AIIMS and Safdarjung Hospitals.

Statements from Officials

Manoj Mehlawat, Station Training Officer (STO) of Delhi Fire Service, stated, “We received information of the fire at 3:20 am. Seven fire brigades were sent here. More than required commercial cylinders were stored in the restaurant, which could have led to a major tragedy.”
