Despite multiple complaints from residents and temporary closures, the petrol pump continued to operate.

The fire left several people stranded, and rescue teams faced challenges due to heavy smoke. Residents are demanding the permanent removal of the petrol pump and stricter enforcement of regulations.

Residents’ Complaints

Ten families live in the residential building, and each apartment owner had filed a request to remove the illegal petrol pump. The residents had raised the issue with the Assistant Commissioner of Korangi multiple times, but their complaints had no effect.
