The South Pacific nation of Fiji has awarded its highest civilian honor to Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, a renowned global spiritual leader and humanitarian. This recognition is for his significant contributions to uplifting the human spirit and fostering peace among diverse communities. The President of Fiji, HE Ratu Wiliame M Katonivere, bestowed the title of ‘Honorary Officer Of The Order of Fiji’ upon him.

Fiji is now the sixth country to honor Sri Sri Ravi Shankar with its top civilian award, acknowledging his extensive humanitarian efforts worldwide through The Art of Living. For 43 years, this organization has promoted happiness and harmony through various initiatives in mental health, education, environment, and empowerment of women and youth, along with stress relief and meditation programs.

During his visit to Fiji, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar met with key figures such as the Deputy Prime Minister of Fiji, Viliame Gavoka, and Dirk Wagener, the UN Resident Coordinator in Fiji. They discussed how The Art of Living could aid in the holistic development of Fiji by empowering its youth, enhancing community mental health, and introducing the wisdom of Ayurveda.
