Fewer People Leaving Israel in June 2024 Due to Gaza War

In June 2024, 757,500 people left Israel, a decrease from 979,400 in June 2023, due to the ongoing war in Gaza. Most departures were by air (656,200), followed by land (86,500) and sea (14,700).

From January to June 2024, around three million people departed Israel, compared to 4.5 million in the same period in 2023. The data was released by Israel’s Central Bureau of Statistics.
