FC Goa Extends Contract with Goalkeeper Arshdeep Singh Until 2025-26

Fatorda (Goa), June 27: FC Goa has signed a contract extension with their goalkeeper Arshdeep Singh, ensuring he stays with the team until the end of the 2025-26 season. Arshdeep’s outstanding performances over the past two seasons have been crucial to the team’s success.

The 26-year-old started his career at the AIFF Elite Academy and gained prominence with Minerva Punjab FC, contributing to their I-League victory in 2017-18 and the 2019 AFC Cup. He later joined Odisha FC, making 33 appearances over three seasons before moving to FC Goa at the start of the 2022-23 season.

Since joining FC Goa, Arshdeep has been a key part of the team’s defense, conceding just 14 goals in 17 Indian Super League matches and achieving eight clean sheets. Overall, he has 11 clean sheets from 21 matches for the Gaurs.

Head Coach Manolo Marquez expressed his excitement about Arshdeep’s continued presence, stating, “Arshdeep is an excellent fit for our playing style. His composure and skill with the ball at his feet make him an important part of our team. Extending his contract is a significant step in our long-term plans.”

Arshdeep Singh shared his gratitude, saying, “I am incredibly grateful to FC Goa for the faith they have shown in me. My time here has been immensely rewarding, and I am excited to continue this journey with the Club.”

As part of their summer transfer activities, FC Goa has also extended contracts for defenders Odei Onaindia and Jay Gupta, and midfielder Muhammed Nemil. Additionally, they have signed defenders Aakash Sangwan and Muhammad Hammad, and goalkeeper Lara Sharma.
