Farmers Plan Nationwide Protests and Rallies for MSP Guarantee
The Samyukt Kisan Morcha (Non-Political) and Kisan Mazdoor Morcha announced plans to burn effigies of the Modi government and launch a new protest for legalizing MSP guarantee. They will stage a ‘long march’ and a nationwide tractor rally on August 15. The ‘Delhi Chalo’ march will complete 200 days on August 31, followed by rallies in Uttar Pradesh and Haryana in September. Earlier this year, farmers were stopped at the Haryana borders during their protest for MSP guarantee.
