Family of Mohit Pandey Meets CM Yogi Adityanath After Custodial Death
In Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, the family of Mohit Pandey, a businessman who died in police custody, met with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. The meeting took place on Monday, where the family expressed their grief. CM Yogi offered condolences and assured them of full support, including an ex gratia of Rs 10 lakh, housing, and free education for the children. He promised strict action against those responsible.
Mohit’s mother, Tapeshwari Devi, along with his wife and children, visited the Chief Minister’s residence. After the meeting, Tapeshwari Devi expressed satisfaction, stating that the CM assured them of a thorough investigation and no leniency for the culprits. Bakshi Ka Talab MLA Yogesh Kumar Shukla and Councilor Shailendra Verma were present during the meeting.
Earlier, UP Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak announced that a murder case has been filed against the accused police officers involved in the Chinhat custodial death case. He emphasized the seriousness of the incident and assured that justice would be served.
