Family of Eerukonda Rajesh Seeks Help to Bring His Body Back from the US
The family of Eerukonda Rajesh, a student from Telangana who passed away in the US, is seeking help from the Central and state governments to bring his body back to India. Rajesh’s family, from Atmakur village in Warangal district, is facing financial constraints and cannot afford the repatriation costs.
Rajesh’s Journey and Family’s Struggles
Rajesh went to the US for higher studies in 2016 after completing his B Pharmacy degree in India. He returned to India briefly but went back to the US. Due to financial issues, he couldn’t visit India for the past six years, even missing his father’s funeral ten months ago.
Family’s Plea for Assistance
Rajesh’s mother, Lela, and sister, Rama Devi, are requesting the governments to help bring his body back for a dignified farewell. Lela mentioned that they took a loan to support Rajesh’s education and are still unaware of the circumstances surrounding his death. Rama Devi added that they received the news of his death on August 15 from his friend.

Wangala Buchi Reddy, a retired police constable from Atmakur village, also appealed to the authorities to assist in bringing Rajesh’s body back. He highlighted the family’s financial struggles and the village’s collective request for government help.
