Family Demands Justice for Army Officer and Fiancee Assaulted at Bharatpur Police Station
The family of an Indian Army Officer and his fiancee, who were allegedly assaulted at Bharatpur police station, are demanding the termination and imprisonment of the accused police officers. The incident occurred on September 15 when the couple went to file a complaint but were instead tortured and jailed.
Incident Details
The father of the Army Officer’s fiancee stated that suspension is not enough and demanded the accused be jailed. He described the incident as condemnable and illegal, emphasizing that the police should help those who come to them for assistance.
Statements from the Victims
The woman described how the police station was empty except for one lady who was not in uniform. She alleged that she was sexually abused, beaten, and kicked by male officers. Despite explaining their situation to the ACP, they were shouted at and later falsely accused of beating and abusing police officials.
