The family of Zaheer Baloch, who was reportedly abducted by Pakistani forces, has been protesting in Quetta for his safe return. The sit-in, now in its third day, has gained support from Baloch rights organizations and leaders like Agha Zubair Shah of the Pashtun Tahafuz Movement.

Zaheer’s wife has called for large-scale demonstrations and demanded legal action against the Counter-Terrorism Department. Despite ongoing protests, there has been no response from authorities.

Details of the Protest

The sit-in is taking place in front of the Quetta Press Club. The family initially demonstrated by blocking the road in the Sariab area of Quetta. The protest has now attracted significant attention, with several Baloch rights organizations joining in.

Zaheer’s wife has pleaded for his immediate and safe recovery and warned of large-scale demonstrations. The demonstrators have also demanded that Zaheer be brought before the court and that an FIR be filed against the Counter-Terrorism Department for his forced disappearance.
