Senior Superintendent of Police, Raipur, Santosh Singh confirmed the arrest, stating that Faizan Khan was found guilty after an investigation.
The accused is being taken to Mumbai on transit remand, and a case of assault is already registered against him. The police are currently questioning him for more details. Last week, a threatening call demanding Rs 50 lakh was received at Bandra station, prompting the police to investigate and arrest Faizan Khan.

This incident follows a series of threats to Bollywood actor Salman Khan, allegedly from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. In October, a man from Jamshedpur was arrested for threatening Salman Khan and demanding a ransom of Rs 5 crore. Both actors have been under tight security, with Salman Khan receiving Y+ security after a firing incident outside his residence in April.
The Lawrence Bishnoi gang has been linked to several criminal activities, including the shooting of politician Baba Siddique in October. The gang claimed responsibility for the attack, raising concerns among fans and authorities about the safety of public figures.
