An explosion occurred at the Indian Oil refinery in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, causing burn injuries to eight individuals. The incident took place on a Tuesday evening, as reported by the local police. Renu Pathak, the Public Relations Officer of the refinery, stated that a minor fire erupted in the Atmospheric Vacuum Unit (AVU). She confirmed that eight people suffered minor burn injuries, with three being referred to Apollo Hospital and five to the refinery hospital. Pathak assured that everyone’s condition is stable.

Dr. Dinesh Yadav from City Hospital reported that four individuals with 40-50% burn injuries were admitted to the hospital. He confirmed that their condition is stable and they are receiving appropriate treatment. Further updates on the situation are awaited.
