Expert Robinder Sachdev Talks About Gun Culture and Attack on Donald Trump
Foreign Affairs expert Robinder Sachdev has highlighted the increasing gun culture in the United States, pointing out that the easy availability of guns is a significant factor in the recent attack on former President Donald Trump. Sachdev explained that in the US, people can easily purchase guns, making it easier for those intent on violence to obtain them.
He emphasized that the gun culture in America is very difficult to reduce or remove, noting that many of Trump’s supporters believe in the right to own guns for self-defense, hunting, and sports. Sachdev mentioned that despite efforts by various presidents, including Biden and Obama, changing gun laws in the US has been challenging due to a strong pro-gun lobby.
During a campaign rally in Pennsylvania, gunshots were fired, and Secret Service agents quickly escorted Trump off the stage. The FBI has identified the gunman as Thomas Matthew Crooks and termed the incident an assassination attempt. This event has sparked concerns about political violence and reminded people of the history of attacks on US presidents.
