Exercise Sagar Kavach Strengthens Coastal Security in Andhra Pradesh
A two-day coastal security exercise called ‘Sagar Kavach-01/24’ was held on July 10-11 along the Andhra Pradesh coast. The exercise aimed to assess the effectiveness of the coastal security mechanism.

- Customs
- RPF
- State Police
- Marine Police
- Fisheries
- IB
- Port Authorities
Activities
Indian Naval Ships and Coast Guard ships participated in the exercise. Extensive aerial surveillance of coastal areas was conducted by both Naval and Coast Guard air assets. The exercise was closely monitored at the Joint Operations Centre (East), Eastern Naval Command.
Outcome
The exercise showcased close coordination and synergy among all coastal security stakeholders, further strengthening the coastal security construct.
