On Day 4 of the Hockey India Junior Women and Men South Zone Championship 2024 in Kadapa, Andhra Pradesh, several teams secured impressive victories.

Women’s Matches

Tamil Nadu vs. Puducherry

The Hockey Unit of Tamil Nadu defeated Le Puducherry Hockey with a score of 15-0. Captain Mumanja R scored six goals, and Rubini S Nithya added four more. Other goal scorers included Lekhashree R, Dharshini P, Jayashalini S, Kaviya V, and Akshatha R.

Kerala vs. Telangana

Kerala Hockey won against Telangana Hockey with a score of 5-1. Lekshmi D scored two goals, while Anamika VS, Captain Piyoosha S, and Dilna Sherin each added one. Akshaya Kancharla scored the only goal for Telangana.

Andhra Pradesh vs. Karnataka

Hockey Andhra Pradesh triumphed over Hockey Karnataka with a score of 3-1. Sreevidya Thirumalasetty scored two goals, and Ankitha Bommu added one. Manisha Poonamma CD scored for Karnataka.

Men’s Matches

Karnataka vs. Tamil Nadu

Hockey Karnataka defeated the Hockey Unit of Tamil Nadu with a score of 4-1. Despite an early lead by Vishal S for Tamil Nadu, Karnataka’s Captain Raju Manoj Gayakwad, Akhil Aiyappa, Akarsh Bidappa, and Akheel Mutagar scored to secure the win.

Kerala vs. Puducherry

Kerala Hockey routed Le Puducherry Hockey with a score of 9-1. Kolnati Sai Ram scored five goals, Kannan SM added two, and Captain Muhammed Kaif and T Yadav Ram each scored one. Dharshan scored the only goal for Puducherry.

Andhra Pradesh vs. Telangana

In a close match, Hockey Andhra Pradesh edged past Telangana Hockey with a score of 2-1. Pradeep Kodappa gave Telangana the lead, but Kumar Metta Sai and Patan Asad Musfin Khan scored to secure the win for Andhra Pradesh.
