The 2nd Hockey India Junior Men and Women East Zone Championship 2024 resumed with thrilling matches at Netaji Subhas Eastern Centre, Salt Lake in Kolkata.

Women’s Category

Hockey Jharkhand defeated Assam Hockey 13-0. Roshni Aind scored a hattrick, with other goals from Rajni Kerketta, Barwa Purnima, Mundu Sukarmani, Parwati Topno, Pinki Kumari, Hemrom Leoni, and Aupriya Soreng.

Hockey Association of Odisha beat Hockey Bihar 11-0. Goals were scored by Najiya Khatun, Kachhap Rimjhim, Marandi Rajina, Khushi Kumari, Sugandha Sonam, and Kumari Sharda.

Hockey Bengal won 8-3 against Manipur Hockey. Goals came from Laltlanchhungi, Shanti Horo, and Lalpeksangi. Manipur Hockey’s goals were scored by Tanu Shorensangbam, Devi Mutum Priya, and Devi Laishram Ritu.

Men’s Category

Hockey Association of Odisha defeated Manipur Hockey 7-0. Goals were scored by Rohit Kullu, Sunil Lakra, Deepak Pradhan, Premdayal Giri, and Deonath Nanwar.

Hockey Jharkhand beat Hockey Bihar 9-0. Goals came from Abhishek Tigga, Jolen Topno, Rohit Pradhan, Roshan Ekka, Ghuran Lohra, Adisan Minj, Faguwa Horo, and Dodray Sandeep.

Hockey Bengal registered a 5-1 win over Assam Hockey. Karan Shaw led the scoring, joined by Prince Gabriyal Dhan and Bishnu Paswan. Suraj Thakur scored the only goal for Assam Hockey.
