14th Hockey India Senior Men National Championship: Day 2 Highlights

The second day of the 14th Hockey India Senior Men National Championship took place at the Mayor Radhakrishnan Hockey Stadium in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Teams from Delhi, Karnataka, Bengal, and Andhra Pradesh emerged victorious in their respective matches.

Pool F: Delhi Hockey vs. Hockey Jammu & Kashmir

Delhi Hockey triumphed over Hockey Jammu & Kashmir with a 6-0 victory. Nitesh scored twice (34′, 58′), while Bharat (3′), Govind Singh Bisht (14′), Captain Mukul Sharma (21′), and Vikas Upadhyay (23′) each added a goal.

Pool D: Hockey Uttarakhand vs. Tripura Hockey

Hockey Uttarakhand secured a 5-0 win due to a forfeit by Tripura Hockey.

Pool D: Hockey Karnataka vs. Hockey Chandigarh

Hockey Karnataka defeated Hockey Chandigarh 5-1. Mohammed Raheel Mouseen scored twice (41′, 48′), with additional goals from Surya NM (10′), Bharat Mahalingappa Kurtakoti (19′), and Manjeet (59′). Sunil (29′) scored for Hockey Chandigarh.

Pool H: Hockey Bengal vs. Assam Hockey

Hockey Bengal dominated Assam Hockey with a 10-0 win. Raushan Kumar led with a hat-trick (10′, 12′, 30′), and Captain Rajendra Oram scored twice (4′, 58′). Other scorers included Avoy Ekka (19′), Alsem Lakra (20′), Milan Saha (31′), Sunil Jojo (41′), and Nitish Neupane (48′).

Pool C: Hockey Andhra Pradesh vs. Hockey Andaman & Nicobar

Hockey Andhra Pradesh achieved a 13-0 victory over Hockey Andaman & Nicobar. Lekalla Hitesh Rao scored seven goals (13′, 15′, 21′, 41′, 48′, 55′, 56′). Other contributors were Rayudu Veera Venkata Rahul Pranay (5′), K Harsha Kamal Teja (6′), Galla Siva Pramod (30′), Tatiparthi Aron Saroj Anand Raj (33′), Maddimeni Rajesh (38′), and Venu Gorela Gopal (49′).

Pool C: Hockey Madhya Pradesh vs. Hockey Unit of Tamil Nadu

The day concluded with a 2-2 draw between Hockey Madhya Pradesh and Hockey Unit of Tamil Nadu. Love Kumar Kanojiya (35′) and Akshay Dubey (42′) scored for Madhya Pradesh, while Selvaraj Kanagaraj (42′) and Shanmugavel S (53′) equalized for Tamil Nadu.
