England vs Australia T20I Series Ends in a Draw Due to Rain at Old Trafford

The third and final T20I match between England and Australia at Emirates Old Trafford in Manchester was abandoned due to rain on Sunday. With the match being called off, the series ended in a 1-1 draw, and the trophy was shared.

Australia won the first match of the series, while England claimed victory in the second match. All-rounder Liam Livingstone was awarded the Player of the Series for his magnificent performance in the first two matches. Livingstone scored 124 runs in two innings, with a strike rate of 62, hitting 10 boundaries and six maximums. He also scored a fifty in the second match.

Livingstone expressed his joy in being more involved in the game, both with the bat and ball, and mentioned his preference for batting higher up the order. He said, “I wanna be involved as much as I can in the game. Hopefully, I have proved that maybe a little bit further higher up the order is probably better for me.”

Phil Salt, the captain of the England team, shared his experience of leading the national side for the first time. He said, “I have enjoyed it (captaincy), it’s different. It’s for the first time in England shirt, I have been forced to look at the game slightly differently and have a bit more on my plate.
