The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has revealed the schedule for the England men’s and women’s cricket teams for the next year. The home season, which runs from April to September, will feature thrilling matches in both red and white-ball formats.

Exciting Matches Ahead

Richard Gould, the ECB Chief Executive Officer, shared his excitement about the upcoming schedule. He highlighted that having both the men’s and women’s series run simultaneously with identical opponents has been popular with fans and has supported the growth of women’s cricket. Gould mentioned that this format will continue for the West Indies and India series next year.

Historic Women’s Test at Lord’s

Gould also announced that England women will play their first-ever Test match at Lord’s against India in 2026. He described this as a special and significant occasion.

Women’s Schedule

The England Women’s team will start their home season with a T20I series against the West Indies from May 21 to May 26, followed by an ODI series from May 30 to June 7. They will then face India in a five-match T20I series starting on June 28, followed by a three-game ODI series. These matches will serve as important preparation for the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025.

Men’s Schedule

The England Men’s team will host West Indies and India in both white-ball and red-ball formats. They will also play against Zimbabwe and South Africa. Zimbabwe will play their first Test in England since 2003 at Trent Bridge, Nottingham. The West Indies series will include three T20Is and three ODIs from May 30 to June 10. The India Men’s team will return for a five-match Test series, with the last series ending in a 2-2 draw. The men’s summer will conclude with a three-match ODI and T20I series against South Africa in September.
