England Announces Team for Final Test Against West Indies at Edgbaston

England has revealed their playing XI for the final Test of the three-match series against the West Indies at Edgbaston. After a significant 241-run win in Nottingham, England leads the series and aims for a whitewash.

The West Indies are eager to secure their first Test win on English soil since 1988, despite the series being out of their reach. England, on the other hand, is keen to improve their standing in the World Test Championship table.

Following their recent victory, England moved up to sixth place in the standings, surpassing South Africa, Bangladesh, and the West Indies. They currently have 45 points and a percentage of 31.25 after 12 matches.

Joe Root, one of England’s top batters, is just 14 runs away from surpassing West Indies legend Brian Lara to become the seventh-highest run scorer in Test cricket history.

England’s team for the final Test remains unchanged from the previous match:

England (Playing XI)
Zak Crawley
Ben Duckett
Ollie Pope
Joe Root
Harry Brook
Ben Stokes (captain)
Jamie Smith
Chris Woakes
Gus Atkinson
Mark Wood
Shoaib Bashir

After this series, England will host Sri Lanka for three Tests and then tour Pakistan and New Zealand later in the year.
