An employee of Third Wave Coffee in Bengaluru was arrested for allegedly placing a mobile phone with video recording in a dustbin inside a women’s washroom. The incident occurred at the coffee shop’s BEL Road outlet on Saturday.

According to the police, the accused hid his phone in the dustbin to record a woman using the washroom. The woman discovered the phone and informed the manager, leading to the employee’s arrest. The police have sent the phone for forensic examination.

Another woman present at the location shared the incident on her social media handle ‘Gangs of Cinepur.’ She described how the phone was hidden in the dustbin bag with a hole for the camera and was on flight mode to avoid detection.

Third Wave Coffee addressed the incident on social media, stating, “We regret the unfortunate incident at our BEL Road outlet in Bengaluru and want to emphasize that such actions are absolutely unacceptable at Third Wave Coffee. We acted swiftly to address the situation by immediately terminating the person and ensuring the safety of our customers.”
