Emirates National Schools Shine at Central Asian Universities Forum in Tashkent

Emirates National Schools recently took part in the Central Asian Universities Forum and Strategic Education Partners Meeting in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. This event highlighted the school’s dedication to global best practices and innovative teaching methods. Ahmad Al-Bastaki, Deputy Director-General of Emirates National Schools, emphasized the importance of this participation in showcasing the school’s leadership on various stages.

The forum, held under the patronage of Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of Uzbekistan, gathered prominent universities and educational institutions from Central Asia. Emirates National Schools were invited due to their strong ties with Uzbekistan’s educational sector, marked by collaborative projects enhancing educational excellence.

Al-Bastaki expressed gratitude for the Uzbek government’s efforts to improve education quality. Cooperation between Emirates National Schools and the Ministry of Education began in 2023, achieving success in various areas, including a Memorandum of Understanding signed in March 2023. This facilitated knowledge exchange and advanced training programs for Uzbek teachers in Abu Dhabi.

In the summer of 2024, a camp in Tashkent allowed students from Emirates National Schools to engage in cultural exchange. In September 2024, Uzbek students visited Emirates National Schools for training, strengthening ties between the nations. Plans were announced for a permanent summer camp in Uzbekistan, benefiting students from both countries.

On the forum’s sidelines, Al-Bastaki met with Uzbek Minister of Education Khilola Oktamovna, expressing appreciation for the invitation and presenting a commemorative plaque.
