Emergency Declared on NOK Air Flight from Hyderabad to Bangkok

In Rangareddy, Telangana, a Thailand-based NOK Air Flight DD959, scheduled to fly from Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Hyderabad to Don Mueang International Airport in Bangkok, declared an emergency early on Saturday morning. According to Mukesh, the Public Relations Officer of GMR, all passengers were safely deboarded and taken to the terminal after security checks, and their luggage was thoroughly inspected.

Earlier, a passenger was detained by Raipur police in connection with an emergency landing of a different flight. This incident involved a flight from Nagpur to Kolkata, which made an emergency landing at Raipur airport due to a bomb threat. Despite thorough checks, no explosives were found.

Security agencies are working hard to trace the source of these hoax threats, but their efforts have hit a dead end. A senior official mentioned that cyber experts are involved, but no breakthroughs have been made. It was confirmed that a VPN was used to send the threats, and social media platforms are being contacted for more information.

Initial investigations suggested the threats originated from European countries, but tracing the IP addresses led to a dead end. In response, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has deployed a Bomb Threat Assessment Committee (BTAC) team at major airports to enhance security protocols.
